Noisy neighbors in a holiday complex - will local police help?

We are currently staying at a holiday apartment complex and the people in the unit above us have been having loud parties past midnight for the last three nights. Management is completely absent after 6 PM and hasn't responded to our emails. We are hesitant to confront them directly because they look aggressive and have been drinking heavily. If we call the non-emergency local police line, will they actually come out and do anything for tourists, or is it a waste of time?

Yes, definitely call them. Being tourists doesn't mean you don't have the right to peace and quiet.

I agree with the first poster, but make sure you use the non-emergency line unless things get violent.

Honestly, holiday complex management is useless 95% of the time. Don't waste your time emailing them.

We had this exact same issue in Spain last summer. The police came within 20 minutes and shut them down.

Just a warning, but it worked and they stayed quiet for the rest of our stay.

Do not confront them yourself! It's just not worth the risk while on vacation.

Spot on. Drunk aggressive people are unpredictable. Let the authorities handle it.
